Celebrating African Union Day

African Union Day, also known as Africa Day, is celebrated on May 25th  to commemorate the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) in 1963, which later became the African Union (AU). This day is a celebration of African unity, resilience, and the continent’s progress towards development, peace, and prosperity. In Ghana, while not a public holiday, it is a day for reflection and celebration of African identity and achievement. Our children looked amazing during this day.
